At PMD, our core executive team represents a collective 70+ years experience in the healthcare and medical products industry. They have hands-on experience with all aspects of starting and operating successful manufacturing, sales and marketing organizations.

Edgar Otto, Chairman
Mr. Otto has founded a dozen successful companies across a broad variety of industries. He was the recipient of the Ernst & Young 'Florida Entrepreneur of The Year' in 1997 and holds numerous patents in a wide diversity of fields. During his career he has created significant shareholder value. Most recently, Bank of America and Morgan Stanley became shareholders in National Healing Corporation, a company Mr. Otto started in 1996.

He is a trustee of Saint Andrews Episcopal School in Boca Raton, FL and serves on the boards of the Tri-County Humane Society, Bulova Technologies, Inc., and the Bethesda Hospital Foundation. Mr. Otto lectures at various colleges including Florida Atlantic University School of Business on the subject 'The Challenge of Change'.

James Miller, CEO and COO
Mr. Miller is a senior-level executive with over 23 years experience in the medical devices and clinical diagnostics industries, effectively touching all markets of the healthcare industry. He possesses extensive cross-functional experience in the development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies, sales management, distribution management, and corporate contracting. Mr. Miller spent 14 years with Boehringer Mannheim Corporation (now Roche Diagnostics) holding various sales and marketing positions. The last several years he has been involved in entrepreneurial ventures in the medical products distribution arena, holding national leadership roles that have resulted in successful industry visibility and substantial revenue growth in emerging markets.

Mr. Miller has been an active participant in the medical industry as evidenced by his long involvement in the Biomedical Marketing Association (BMA). He holds various Chairperson and Executive Committee seats, culminating in his President role in 1998. He has served on Boards of Directors for various non-profit entities, and holds a B.A. degree in Physiology from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.

Gregory Otto, VP of Business Development
Greg Otto has over 20 years of hands-on operational experience building niche businesses. He has extensive knowledge involving sales and marketing, manufacturing and production, finance and accounting, and general management. Mr. Otto has worked with many senior executive teams throughout his career and has been actively involved in mergers, acquisitions and aggressive growth start-ups spanning many industries, including healthcare and finance.

Mr. Otto is an active leader with a track record of building successful companies around dynamic teams. He received his BS/BA from the Barney School of Business at the University of Hartford in Connecticut in 1990, and graduated in 1993 with his Masters in Business Administration (MBA with minors in Finance & Marketing) from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida.

Kamala Chapman, CFO
Ms. Chapman is a certified public accountant and has worked closely with Edgar Otto since 1990. Initially, she developed his internal tax department for his insulated food tray company. For several years she has headed the due diligence team of his multi-million dollar mergers & acquisitions corporation, overseeing assessments of over 15 companies. She has managed the financial reporting and tax compliance for Mr. Otto's closely held manufacturing, financing and investment corporations, limited partnerships and limited liability companies. She imparts broad experience in all forms of business financial management.

Ms. Chapman graduated from Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA in 1980, and is a certified business manager and a certified public accountant in the State of Florida. She is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Professionals in Business Management, and the National Association of Female Executives.
